with EE2 or what will happen with it?
It all started with strong enthusiasm, ideas great and small which i came to like much more than in other gallery applications. I put a lot of work in it, labeling all the photos, creating exibitions an so on...
But i terribly miss further development...wich would incorporate modern internet technologies... it is slowly becoming the old grand dame of online galleries... shall it give way to something new or has it still it's deserved place with comming activity... presenting pictures online.

I think the gallery will never go out of date. Some fancy new galleries are not backwards compatible with old browsers and for this reason I like the EE Gallery.
What are you thinking for this?

I meant things like geo data in pictures or buttons to link to social sites... i'm sure there is more but i do not know the description for it.
I do understand about bakcwards compatibility but a new version would be nice before it becomes to old... because then at one point it starts to look old fashioned and this drives people away from your site.... i think.

Uwe,
Without meaning to blow my own trumpet, I released a GPS add-on for EE a few months ago:

Hello JohnK_UK
i'm almost done i think. But now when it get's to do the upgrade (this is page 7 in the instruction document) i get a path error. Right after clicking the "Install EE-GPS" button... i get
"The requested URL /gallery/upgrade/upgrade was not found on this server." while the correct path really is /gallery/upgrade/upgrade.php
What is wrong?
