Another shot with the new lens. I couldnt help but notice the scrape marks on this one. He must have a tough shell. hope you like. no cropping was done, one pass with USM.:D :D

Thanks for the kind words Paul. USM=Un-Sharp-Mask. its a sharpening tool used when post processing.:D ;)

in Photoshop CS2 there's a new tool " Smart Sharpen" . it's great. Make a test.

Looks like a Japanese Beetle, Bald Eagle, very nice capture. I also enjoyed looking at your galleries on pBase.

Thanks Leo, I did some research on this one, its similar, but missing the white tufts of hair on the side. So, I'm not positive. heres a side view, hope you like.:D

I think I have to say that I like this one better. Technically, they are all great, but I think this one looks more lively.:D

Thanks, I like the fact that you can see his face, its the color of Metallic Green. first time I've seen that.:D :D

THANK YOU. This entire time i thought you guys were talking about USM in a Canon way - autofocus. Obviously this made no sense to me.

great shot BE this little guy has some amazing colours on him...beetles always amaze me with their irridescant markings
