A few weekends ago, I managed to break one of the little locking tabs for the eye cup on my XT, so now it slides off or falls off easily. I already lost it once, finding it in the mud only through sheer luck. :D
Who would be a good, reliable supplier I can get a replacement from? I haven't checked Canon's website directly, I assume I'd be going through a dealer or retailer.
Also, I cobbled a hand strap for the XT with battery grip, using a section cut from the thin nylon strap and clips provided as a carrying lanyard for my 300mm L zoom.
I was surprised how comfortable it was, even being less than 1/2" wide strap, and how secure it made my hold. I'd been using a wrist strap off an old point-and-shoot, simply as a "don't drop it in the mud" measure.
Anyway, I'm interested in getting the "real" Canon strap- I could make one, sure, but for $20 and the time, it's worth just buying one to me. Any chance I can find a retailer that would have both the strap and eye cup on hand?
Thanks.
