Falling coins

Just playing around with a new flash. Simple shot really, just setup my camera on tripod, pre-focused on spot where I was going to drop the coins, then while holding the coins just above frame, clicked the remote shutter and droped the coins. Took about 4 captures, of which this one was the best I found.

This really is a great shot. I think the surface you used to drop the coins on (I'm assuming a table...) really pulls this shot together. The wood grain and colour blend perfectly with the pennies. Great job, oh and btw: Welcome to POTN...always good to see another canuck around!

Thanks to everyone for the great coments and nice welcome. I think I'm really going to like this place, there are tons of great photographers here, and it's nice to see what people can do with these nice cameras we have :). Oh, and Rigrider, it's actually the top of an entertainment center I built for myself this past year (stained yellow pine).

Still a good shot though, civicseth. You've got the focus and exposure right, now it's just a matter of luck/timing to get the one you like :)
