East Oahu.

This is such a commonly photographed site, I'm nearly certain a few very similar shots are already somewhere in this thread.

3 shot pano with 24mm TS-E, stitched in autopano pro.

A recent panoramic that I was quite fortunate to see. Lucked out on the timing with the supercell and the sun.

Any idea on where to get panoramas printed?

20x30" prints from Costco are $8.99. I merge several together to make best use of the page. For larger sizes you'll need to go elsewhere.

These guys do arbitrary sizes on a variety of papers and ink systems for a pretty good price: http://lightsound.com/

A seven shot panoramic view of the famous Horseshoe Bend along the Colorado River located just outside of Page, Arizona. This by far is the most unnerving photo I've ever taken. I had to crawl on my belly to the edge of the cliff that is 1000' above the river. The whole time knowing that any slip or mistake would put me or my camera over the edge!

Shot in landscape. Four images across the top, three along the bottom. Stitched using Autopano Pro. This canyon is a mile across.

Very nice panoramic image but it looks like you forgot to crop out the edges after the image was stiched together. I little cropping would put the finishing touches on your image. I do love the colors. Great capture.

Here's about half of Hubbard Glacier in Alaska. As I was taking the series, the glacier calved and you can see it near the left of the image. I took about 18 images in the series, and this is half of them, and I'm still working on the left half.

Outstanding UT images Yellowmr! I visited the Arches in July but only had a few hours there. The temp hit 110F and I couldn't convince my family to get out of the car for more than I few minutes. I can see we missed some beautiful landscape. Very nice work!

yellowmr 2nd of September 2010 (Thu) 08:06

Re: Post your best panorama

Thanks, we hiked in the morning, and at sundown. Temps were too hot during the midday hours. Everyone suggested sunset for the Delicate Arch, and it paid off big time. As good as those pictures are, they just don't do it justice. You have to see it in person!

It's quite hard to get captures without any people though.

I thought it was appropriate to post another panoram from the Arches and Montana as a follow-up to Yellowmr's outstanding images. Mine aren't as spectacular but I sure did enjoy taking them. Both were shot with a 50D, manual exposure, 17-55 f2.8 EF-S lens, Hoya Pro1 CP, stitched togther in Photoshop CS4. Minimal editing in Lightroom prior to loading in CS4. CC welcomed.

This is what happens when you take a panorama with a polarizer - it only works perpendicular to the sun.

Five shots stiched with photoshop.

It was a very grey morning when I took the picture, so I added a sky from a picture of the bay that I took later. The school just celebrated it's one-hundredth anniversary, Sept, 2010.

I know its not technically the greatest. And it was actually taken with a p&s (IXUS 700 i believe) on fully automatic (i knew nothing about cameras at the time...). But ever since I took it (Nov 2006) its been one of my favourite shots. I've always regretted that i only got an SLR after i went to iceland...

For those who are interested- this is Mýrdalsjökull ice cap in southern iceland. It covers the volcano Katla, which is the 'big sister' of the icelandic volcano that erupted and caused all the havoc to air travel at easter...and is thought fairly likely to erupt soon as a result.

this is really my first pano attempt. All shot portrait and handheld. Gear was a 1DM2 and 17-40. This was stitched using the Canon software, 8 shots I believe. Had to do some work since I still saw slight exposure issues at the stitch. Wondering how to avoid that as they were all shot manual and nothing was tweaked until they were already stitched.

What Canon SW are you talking about?

Try Hugin. It's free does a great job of matching exposure in most cases.
