Re: How long do you leave your camera on?

there is a power switch?? Wow, Learn something every day. :) but seriously, I only turn it off to clean the sensor every so often. Battery hardly ever drains, even after a week or 2.

Re: What did I do wrong?

ok, so the above was worst case. and I think there was something to bridge-camera raw conversion. I just tried lightroom and it made a big diffrence:

So, 6.3, iso...

Re: Lightning / Storm Pics

its been a passion of mine for about 20 years now. I can't tell you why I do it. This year has been rough, I destroyed 1 lens already, almost totaled my car, and many late nights getting home at 3am...

Re: What did I do wrong?

I knew iso 400 was the rougher of my main iso speeds, I just got a new L lens and wanted to see how they would come out, hoping that something was wrong with my old lens or at the very least help...

Re: What did I do wrong?

hmmm, no PP sharpening. I know camera raw does its little sweep of it to remove hot pixels (when I take storm timed exposures you can see it remove the 2 or 3 I get) wonder if it does anything else...

Re: DIY: Cheap Hot Shoe Flash AC Adapter

I just wanted to post an update on this:

I have used my MOD for 2 full day shoots with perfect results. average refresh time is about 2-3 seconds for 1/2 power. No heat issues, no batteries, and...

Re: What did I do wrong?

Mostly its just from looking around at others, and I see 100% crops to be fairly smooth. when I dial it in around F8, iso 100, and a high shutter, such as my model work, they come out pretty clear....

Lightning / Storm Pics

Still looking for the perfect shot but these were from a few weeks ago, though I would share :) It's been a slow year for storm chasing so probably not many great shots. fingers crossed for more...

Like I said, this is making it really...

Re: I need recommendations for good (not too cheap) monolights..
