Re: Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM (Thread 2)

That would make a fun shot for an adjuster ... put a tiny "S" or "B" and a mini Superman cape on it.

Hmmmm ... 7/10 ... interesting ... gets the mind to pause for a sec ... crisp ...

Seems a bit heavy with out of focus area on the right side, but pretty cool shot.

Re: Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM (Thread 2)

Cool ...

Saw that on Flickr earlier. I could enjoy shooting there as much as in the redwoods actually.

Yeah, great looking shot.

Re: Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM (Thread 2)

Isn't it remarkable what can be done with the remnant of a wooden hinge from a tree felling ...

Re: Rate the Photo Above You

Pretty nice that you got this with the 24-105mm ... glad I kept mine ...

Can't really think of a way where I'd want to see improvement, at least not at this size. Maybe if I saw the original, I'd...

Re: Sigma 85mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM

Maybe after the lens cap is removed, too.

:D

This shot ain't no fave. I was experimenting with a new LED light panel and had this dialed to the warm side ... too warm.

Re: LED Fotodiox outdoors .. my results .. portraiture

My office is on the darker side, so I just lit the LED up in here after reading your post.

It really brightens up where I aim it to pretty strong to even 10 feet away. Some light could be seen up to...

Didn't get any feedback from others in another thread about a Fotodiox 502 LED light panel .... but I've got something to share from my end now. Weekend before last, I used it in the Nor Cal coast...

Re: Redwoods // World's 8th largest tree

I may have tweaked some yellow on the right side, but there's definitely a tinge of yellow from the LED panel. I learned on this test-run that I'm probably better using the white side of the...

Redwoods // World's 8th largest tree

Went to the redwoods this weekend - one more try with the largest known coast redwood, 8th largest tree in the world. Taken from the top of a old log, so I did another hand-held. The light is always...

Fotodiox LED / Battery Charge & Outdoor Question

Decided to post this in General Photo Talk, because the other lighting section said "flash" and "studio".

Re: Tokina AT-X 16-28mm F2.8

Love the lens, but got to admit it's heavy ... much more so than my Tokina 11-16mm just before it.

Seems the lens should already have had it's own nickname by now, as others have been called The Keg...

Re: Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM (Thread 2)

The color is pleasing too, but it sure looks like the B&W version is leaps and bounds ahead for keeping attention on the woman.

Re: Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM (Thread 2)

@ kevinlomax

Question (s)

1. Were you able to pull that off with natural light alone?

2. Is that one of those shots were the color version was okay or nice, but where B&W made up a lot of...

Who's shot both Canon 50mm 1.2 and Sigma 50mm 1.4 ??

Lately I've been adding more primes. And curious who has experience with both the Canon 1.2 and Sigma 1.4 for 50mm. Presently I have a 50mm 1.4 and it's okay. But the recent 135mm L and Sigma 85mm...
