The problem seems to be my card reader on my desktop. I have a super cheap card (yes I know....I need to throw that out) and for whatever reason, it seemed to disagree with the build in reader. They...

Anyone ever had a file do this?

I shot an event for my day job and some of the photos look like this in lightroom. They look perfect, but once I click the thumbnail they do this weird psychedelic business or turn completely black....

Re: Alien Bee B1600 Flashing by Itself

After the first couple of incidents, I completely removed the trigger set up (including the cable). The light behaved in the same manner.

Alien Bee B1600 Flashing by Itself

I set up today for a shoot, and hooked my B1600 into the Vagabond mini. I then hooked my radio triggers (Powersync16's) to the rig. I turned the vagabond on, and then my light. I took my first shot,...

Just some candids of people in B'Ham, AL

Usually, I'm a portrait guy, but I had to be in Birmingham, AL with my mother at the doc. While she was in I went out and shot. I've never really done this before, but I was quite happy with the...

Re: Speedlite honeycomb

I can't follow that link (I'm at work), but got some material from honeygrid.com and just cut it to size. It was only about $14 or so and I got all different degrees. I just attach with gaffe tape.

Tired of carrying a stand and a sandbag by hand...cart suggestions?

I had a shoot today for which I used an Alien Bee and a 50" softbox. Of course, I sandbagged it too. And I had my camera bag. And there were a lot of hills. I'm pretty sure I lost a few lbs today...

Re: Upcoming shoot and a 28 in softbox

It's VERY possible to use the 50" with a hot shoe flash. I just have got the 50", and popped a few shots with the Vivitar 285 and it works quite well. I'm not a technical junky though. I don't know...
