Re: getting property release form from the military

From past experience you will not get a property release from the military. My son is on a destroyer and they have these "tiger" cruises where family can come aboard for 5 days and go out to sea with...

Re: client wanting work-for-hire - how do I convince them not to

What he's asking is not uncommon for uses like templates and things of that nature. Having the photos exclusively, mean there will be nothing out there that looks like their products and regardless...

Re: "Dutch publishing company" wants to use my photos...

Strange a manufacturer wouldn't supply pictures for some free advertisement in the form of an article. Sounds fishy to me, if it were me I would send them a rights contract and a fee schedule and...

Re: Have you ever sued a client?

You can sue for your lost time for your work, at least in the case where you spent time acquiring the shots for them, anything that is invoiceable is sueable. So if you invoice them for your time you...

Re: Fraud "photography" caught using stolen images for portfolio!

Re: Odd copyright disclaimer in S95 manual

It's a way to legally cover them if you illegally infringe on someone's copyright. Haven't you heard of a lawsuit where they sure say a driver in an automobile accident then include every...
