They are heavily cropped because of the old "no professional camera palaver" so I just carried the nifty fifty on, it was a stretch to get images that...

you are right, you cannot see anything until you actually start welding (I believe is called "once the ARC is formed" ) after that the light is so bright that you can see pretty well a couple of cm...

you convinced me. I just picked up a £6.85 filter from ebay....in total I have invested £8.85 in this slow shutter business ...and I get to spend most of my christmas break in the freezing cold by...

nice one this welding glass. If you are caught without a filter holder you can try this set up.
just a couple of elastic bands wrapping around the hood will do the trick as well. just be careful not...

no. I work week nights but I go to ireland pretty much every fortnight (depending on ticket prices) so it is hit and miss when I am game for a photo shootout

sometimes is the camera on the other side of the road that flashes. it will probably register a negative speed LOL! this may happen if there are no cars going the "right" way and you were going fast...
