Re: bag for interfit ex150 mk2 lights?

Thanks Josh - I'll check it out. I phoned up the company I bought the bag from, who spoke to Interfit to confirm the bag wasn't meant to come with dividers. I'll check out the bag for the 3 head kit...

bag for interfit ex150 mk2 lights?

Ages ago, I got the Interfit EX150 Mk2 kit. I'm really happy with the lights, but needed to buy a bag. I bought the Interfit INT434 (I think) recommended bag, but it doesn't have any dividers, and...

Re: Kata DPS DR-467 First thoughts / review

So, 10 months after buying it, am I still happy? You bet! It turns out it's also compatible with my Nikon gear, since I moved over to the dark side ;).

Re: 24-70 vs 24-105 IS on a 5D Mark II

The 24-70 may not balance all that well on the 400D - it's comfortable on a xxD, so try it out before you stump up the $$. Having said that, if I still had my Canon gear, I'd have that 24-70 for sure.

1200mm L? That really is one ugly lens.

Re: 24-70 vs 24-105 IS on a 5D Mark II

I'm assuming that because of the usable results from higher ISO levels, that you can gain an extra stop by increasing ISO by a stop. Having said that, f/2.8 in a dark theatre will struggle, so you'd...

Re: Is a 18-200/270 superzoom a reasonable replacement for the 28-135?

You'll lose USM, and focussing in low light will also suffer, though having said that. . . In the range you're asking about, in reasonable light, you should be fine - the Canon 18-200 is also worth a...

Re: Let's see your boxes!

I find it bad to have FF in colour managed mode, as if you post an Adobe RGB image by accident, it will still render correctly on your screen, but look rubbish elsewhere. . . It's definitely one of...

Re: Calumet Genesis kits?

I haven't tried it yet. . Don't have the cash to pick up a second SB800, and some digital triggers.

Re: UK South-East Tripod Police Fugitive's Thread (2)

Thanks - not a bad idea! Fortunately I have redundancy cover in my mortgage PPI - I might have to check that they really pay out!

+1 - the 85 1.8 is still a lovely lens!

Glad to hear that you're...

Re: UK South-East Tripod Police Fugitive's Thread (2)

I get no redundancy pay per se though - I've been here under a year.

Oh yes, I've started job hunting!

Good luck!

Re: UK South-East Tripod Police Fugitive's Thread (2)

Ta Mitesh. Well, the FSC (Financial Services Commission in Gibraltar) has to approve the sale, which could happen any time now. Once they do, they'll complete in a matter of days, at which point...

Re: NO MORE DUCKS! NO MORE BOXES!

Sounds good - I'm not interested in lots of pixel peeping etc - if the images have that same magic, that's all I'm interested in (actually, I'm waiting for the Sigma HSM 24-70 to come out, and see if...

If I remember correctly, the f/4 can stand up, but not when attached to a camera.

Re: Kata DPS DR-467 First thoughts / review

It's a tiny squeeze, but my D300 goes in with the 70-300VR on. I also have my other lenses, and flash in there as well.

Re: NO MORE DUCKS! NO MORE BOXES!

I'm so jealous! Ooh, we have a print of the same painting on the wall!

Oh, how does the Nikon 24-70 compare with the L? I loved my L - it's the only lens I really miss from my Canon days (although...

Re: Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 with 40D?

Oh no, it's my dream combo (or used to be). It works really well - you might want to have a Sigma 10-20 for those times when you want wide angle, but if you shoot mainly people, it won't let you...

Re: canon 10-22 or 17-40mm

They're very different lenses - do you want an ultra wide angle lens, or something more comparable to a walkabout? Image quality for both is excellent.

Re: Self Portrait Thread - Post pics!

Which eye - your right (from viewer's point)? To do that, you just have to move the light further round to the left, but to be honest, it looks great. That little triangle of light from beneath your...

Re: Self Portrait Thread - Post pics!

Love it! Not sure if it's my non-calibrated work monitor, but the only thing that would make it faultless, would be if there was a bit more light on your hat, bringing it out of the shadow - really a...
