Default 5dm3 prototype + 400mm crop from 1000 feet

Pixel peeping the new prototype

I was at the sideshow carnival shooting from the rolloercoaster

Come on lay it on me what you think?

I think i might have to go into the menu of the camera and fine tune the focus to this Tamron 400mm?

Is it in focus?

I think your lens is front focusing...you missed the focus on the balls. You need to go to ISO 1,048,000 so you can get the shutter speed up to 1/60000 of a second on the 5dMkIII. Did your prototype have an espresso machine on it?

the balls could be a bit more in focus, that is true - but for such range, im okay with a bit of focus loss- plus there are so many balls, very hard to focus on them all.

Ya but with the 5dMkIII you should be able to turn the knob on top to auto bokeh mode. I head you are able to see 1/60000th of a second back in time, plus get a micron width DoF i this mode. I would have like to seen that micron DoF on the roundest ball. Maybe use the built in Photoshop CS5 on the 5dMKIII?

Don't forget i was on the rollercoaster moving at 60mph while shooting this

This 5dm3 has many focus points that you can enable at once one to the left one to the top one to the right all at once its kinda hard to figure out i am in test mode

Did you use the Sigma 20000mm on that? Did that MkIII catch a picture of the inside of a black hole? Crazy dynamic range for sure!

Ya but I dont hink that problem carries over with the 5dMkIII. he needs to speak to the Canon employee who was riding the roller coaster with him about the focusing issues. Looks like they upgraded the 7d focusing issues with the 5dMKIII as well.

Sweet...I heard they're moving autofocus into the camera on that prototype...how does it work?
Might have to wait for the m4 for Infinite FStop. That too is being moved into the camera and was rumored to possibly be included in the m3...guess not
