Default Shooting with a VERY active little boy

He started out uninterested in taking pictures, and by the end of the shoot I was laying on the ground under the background sheet because he wanted to pretend to be asleep (complete with my fake snoring). Oh wait, I was wrong. It ended with him taking his socks off to make puppets and then ambushing me with them, Haha I was happy to oblige him in whatever games he wanted to play and snapped shots whenever I could. I also tried the "stand on the penny" trick and it failed. He was too bright for that I guess.

After nearly 30minutes we were done and I was exhausted and didn't know if I really had any decent shots. Let me know what you think and if you have any advice for shooting with such enthusiastic children I'd love to hear it. It is hard work with them but they also have the best personalities and expressions!

The "sock story" was captured in several photos. It is hilarious to see how the session progressed.

This was snapped while I was "sleeping"

The second-to-last photo of the "sock story"

The sleeping pose is best. These are good, especially if only with kit lens!

These look great! I also loved reading about what shooting him was like--very entertaining! Did you do these with the 18-55mm lens?

Thank you And yes, I shot them with the 18-55mm lens and only natural light. And the backdrop was just a sheet clamped to the edge of their dining room table! Very low budget!
