I am trying to figure out a few things about the 5D2, hopin yall can help. First, I have read about the "terrible" auto focus on this body. That being said, how would it compare to the auto focus on the Rebel XT? I don't think my primary purposes for the 5D2 are going to be adversely affected by the inferior auto focus, I am just trying to see how much of an upgrade to expect, if any compared to my current body. Second, any recommendations regarding where to buy a decent second hand 5D2? If I don't find a used one, what retailers do you guys recommend for major equipment purchases? I have had decent luck with Adorama. Any other suggestions for lower prices but good customer service?
Thanks guys... |

Image quality will be much better, especially if you have good lenses. I upgraded to a 5d2 a couple of weeks ago from a 60d and I've really liked it. For my uses though I've decided to upgrade to the 5d3 instead and sell my 5d2 (which is for sale on this site *wink wink*). The autofocus for the 5d2 works just fine in good light, when you get into low lighting the outer points become questionable at best. I've had a little trouble with autofocus in the view finder under a few other situations but nothing really major. Also, It really is not great at all in AI servo. Hope it helps
