Default A question of lighting a car, with a lake and clouds at sunset.

So, you know as the magic hour appoches, you need a little longer on you timer ect.

If I were to say use a 1/30 of a timer with ISO 100, and used a normal exposure, for a flash on a car I.E. Using Alien Bees, would the background blow out? Or over saturate?

Think like, the last 20 mins of the day.

I'd be using AB800 at full power with soft boxes.

How do you define "the last 20 mins of the day.", and "a normal exposure, for a flash on a car"?
So my best advice is to get there before dark. Shoot every 5 minutes until after dark. See what works best.

Good advice, I'll just bracket every shot for a while. I am just stressing out about this shoot cuz I've only got one chance to get it right.

OK. Remember, these were shot without any flash at all:

Then maybe a practice shoot would be a good idea?
