MODS please change to birds, wrong forum.
As my 100th post I am posting my first pictures. I am just am amateur trying to learn the art of digital photography so any suggestions or critiques are greatly appreciated. Hi, and congrats on 100 posts.
It would help to know what gear you are using and something about the settings, and the conditions when you took the shots. Are these full frame? 100% crop?

The shots are about 50% crops taken with my 20D and sigma 70-300mm APO lens. The shutter speeds were upwards of 1/1000th since it was in full sun. They were f5.0 and ISO 800 (unfortunately I didn't notice the high ISO when shooting, it was from a previous low light shoot).

That's a pretty shot of the hummer. You got the whole bird, and the colors are quite nice. Is your camera set to center focus?

Tupe- the camera was set to center focus.
