Smile Calumet Chicago - a great experience

A few weeks ago I asked for camera store recommendations in Chicago and all responses mentioned just one: Calumet. I can see why. I swung by there on Friday last and was very impressed by the range of goods on offer and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.
I was in the market for a back up camera/additional shooter to supplement my 20D and in the end I opted for the Rebel XTi body plus battery grip. I was expecting the camera to be awkward to use given it's size relative to the 20D but I must say I am pleasantly surprised at how it fits in my hands, especially with the grip attached. Great price too: I got the body plus grip for less than I would have paid for the body alone in Ireland. And coming through Shannon Airport this morning there wasn't a customs man to be seen so no duty to pay
either. <big grin>
