Default tiny insect

no more than 2mm, note the antennae showing it is facing downwards. Found this evening on a wooden post. I have posted it for ID in two forums - one suggestion is a Rove Beetle but as far as I know the smallest are nearer 8mm

I would have almost though it was some sort of cockroach...good shot, well spotted.

it was in fact a Rove Beetle, probably 1.5mm long. Hypocyphtus sp.
