Great shots, I use the Blvd everyday. I was gonna go out there when I heard about the fire but I chose otherwise.

Again great shots, did you get any closer?

I saw this on the news last night. Quite an intense fire! Very nicely done and captured.

thank you
best part was, it was completely by accident that I came across this mess.
I wasnt going to go out. I was gonna lay on the couch, veg and watch "the office" or play with photos in photoshop.
but then something amazing happened......................I got off my lazy butt.

some of the best photos I have are from going when I didnt feel like it or wasnt going to go. I should stop being lazy more often.

news reported last night that it was a book bindery. not sure on the cause of the fire.

The fire is almost as impressive as the the fact that you were intending a Sunday stroll to Philly! Good captures.

thanks for all the kind words. it was a lot of fun shooting this. I bought a 70-200 2.8L IS a few weeks ago and so far I'm really liking it.

its not that bad....
there is definitely places where you need to be more alert of your surrounding's but as long as you know those places, your just fine.
Philadelphia is far too photogenic and rich in history to miss out on.
honestly, I could get mugged for my gear and I'd replace it and return.
its one of my favorite places to photograph.

the city the fire was in is far worse than Philly.

Ah this is the vacant warehouse fire.
The building was being used by vagrants at the time, several were seen leavign the premises as fire due engines arrived on scene.
Have to say these are some of the better shots i have seen of this particular incident, nicely caught.
