Yesterday my class had to shoot a dance show (oriental, gipsy fusion dance) during 1h30m.
It was an excellent way to test my MF lenses in moviment. I put Helios 40-2 on my 400D and I only used it!! Really loved some of the pictures. First 3: f/2.8 ISO800 ![]() ![]() ![]()

Interesting compositions. It's nice to see something that doesn't necessarily follow the rules. I like the first one quite a bit, the second one doesn't work as well at keeping the viewers eye in the frame, and the third one I'm kinda not sure about, but I do like it. It looks like you did a pretty nice job with the focusing though. Nice post!

Many thanks.
Later I'll post more. I really liked to use one MF lens in this work. It gives us more mental focus and we try to get really good images.

I find #3 in the first series quite stunning.....and #1 in the first series and #3 in the second would be my follow up faves. They are all quite beautiful, the only one I'm not really feeling is #2 in the second series. I bow to anyone who can effectively use manual focus on moving subjects!

Many thanks
I realize that in the moment I don´t need AF to shoot what I want. It is cool because I have an amazing performance with "low cost" investment. It's hard but not impossible to do some nice images using MF lenses
