Hi,
I know the Nikon SB-26 has a built-in-wireless slave flash capability and can be triggered by another flash. However, I also read it cannot be triggered by a flash that has a preflash. Can the Canon 580ex I and the Canon 580ex II trigger the SB-26? Thanks.... |

If i´m not wrong, the preflash fires when U use E-TTL. If u put the flash on manual mode, no preflash will fire and maybe the nikon flash will.

I used the sb26 few times, triggered with 580EX I on camera and in ETTL....and it sure did work!
It was even being triggered with p&s cameras from the guests on the event. Few even asked me if I know why their pictures are turning out all white...."well your camera must be broken, duh!" Haven't yet had a chance to try it with a 580 EX II as I just got it a week ago and the noink is from a colleague of mine....or is it the sb28? hmmmm.... |
