Default First Baseball of the year.

Very nice shots. I am shooting baseball soon also. Any tips before I head out? Also what lens did you use? 70-200?

Great shots! My sons baseball travel team is starting soon and I can't wait to try out my 300 2.8. I'm looking at all the baseball shots I can to get some tips (angles, SS, etc..). By the end of the season maybe I'll get some that look as good as these.

Well.....lol. Actually the beginning of football season last year I bought a Sigma 120-300 2.8. I used it off and on during football and have become quite lazy with it. Its gotten to where I only carry one camera and that lens sometimes. (with backup equipment in the car).

So these shots were taken with the 120-300 and at times with a 1.4, I've just gotten so spoiled with the zoom and not having to carry two setups.

I sure wish Canon would make a 2.8 L Zoom in that range.

Yes except for it was around 35 that night.
