I was driving to work on the 405 yesterday when I saw this big bird slowly flying across the freeway. It was lightly colored, i.e. light tan or grey, and had a white head, and a large wingspan. My first thought was that's a bald eagle flying across metro LA! That's about it for info as I didn't want to take my eyes off the road for too long, even though traffic only does about 10-15 mph. Any thoughts on what other kind of bird it might have been?
