My first foray into the M world. (I used to live in Av/Tv.)
Are they interesting images or just pictures of a building? ![]() ![]()

yeah these two aren't particularly doing much for me...anything showing the whole building....maybe we can see if there is a more interesting perspective?

You've got the exposure nailed.

I would say these are just pictures of buildings.
Exposure is good. Nice blue sky. For more interesting building shots, try from different perspectives for more "drama"...

focus (zoom way in) on the pretty details of the building. maybe stretch a vertical shot of the lower carvings, middle windows, and upper carvings. come in close and shoot straight upwards. however, it looks like the lighting got harsher the closer you got, so maybe that isnt possible at this time of day.
or pull out and shoot the whole building, or from some funky angle coming across the building diagonally. something that gives the viewer of the shot what they cant see just walking up to the building themselves. the guys are right, though, your exposure is spot on. and, it looks as though you had a nice dof to make the whole shot sharp, too.
