Default Final Cut Express to Edit 5DMK II Video?

Hi!

When I import footage into Final Cut Express 3.5.1 the video is jagged, which I assume is because FCE does not recognize H.264 video format. Will upgrading to FCE 4.1 eliminate this problem? Should I convert the H.264 format to better match the FCE format? If yes, how?

Thanks!
