I got a gig shooting a few before/after make over sessions for a local magazine.
Let me know what you guys think. I am not 100% certain about my choice of post processing for the second look of photos but let me know what you think. It was difficult getting the freckles to not look either over dramatic or like acne. I haven't shown them to the client yet so I still may make adjustments. My biggest critique is a wish I would have gone for a wider DOF to get more hair in focus. Oh well. 1 Before ![]() 2 After Look 1 ![]() 3 ![]() 4 ![]() 5 After Look 2 ![]() 6 ![]() Behind the scenes: 7 ![]() 8 ![]()

I have to say the before shot is super nice and more of the person I would want to see the after shots looks nice but there does not seem to be much contrast to the before shots. I can see the application of makeup and the difference in hair style but as far as the photos go you have done sucha great job on the before I like it as well. Typically before shots look awful but not in this case.

Wow, great before and after shots! I like both. Love the DOF used. Vanessa has amazing hair, eyes, and facial features. You captured all extremely well.

Superb job with a great model. The specular highlight under her eye on 6 bothers me a little bit but 6 is still my favorite shot followed by 5 in a close 2nd.

the second look isn't bad...it looks experimentish...i don't knoe but i like it...on the first ones i would use selective color to tone down the reds in the face...
