Default He's baaaack....

Haven't seen my little snowy buddy in almost 4 weeks, so I was really surprised to see him fly in yesterday at my favorite little marshy area.

He stole the worm from the little semi palmated plover..

Then this guy flew in...

I can always depend on these guys to show up when no one else does..

And then they all left after about 30 mins. because of this......

this is the "I-don't-care-if-you're-sitting-there-with-a-camera-I'm-still-going-to-walk-between-you-and-those-birds-and-throw-my-cast-net-15 ft-from-you, and-maybe-I-can-chase-those-birds-away" idiot species.
What the heck is wrong with people? They saw me sitting there, with the camera and the BIG white lens on it, they saw the birds...and they just HAD to come stomping through the water right in front of me and between me and the birds. And then when they got ready to leave about 5 mins after they had chased the birds away....she HAD to come stomping back through the water in front of me again. There was another way the could have gotten out of there, but I guess they just wanted to prove how stupid they could actually be. If looks could have killed they would have both been dead on the spot. Just wanted to share what a couple of rude, ignorant dummies look like.

See? That's when you *need* the gators.

Great shots Sharon!

LOL I sure was wishing for something to come along and jerk a knot in both of the fools. Yep....a gator would have worked nicely. Thanks Phil

I agree with Phil on the Gators, too bad they didn't catch one with their little net, that would have been a great sequence to catch.
Thats a beautiful little buddy you have there, very nice shots!

I understand your pain with folks scaring off the birds. Just remember the camera makes you invisible.

Great shots as always.

I guess they just thought I was sitting there with a camera for my health. Thanks Steve

I'm still amazed at what they did yesterday. Must be top members on the "me" generation list. Thanks Bret

Thanks Pauhana, it's probably a good thing I didn't have the monopod with me....it would have made a really good impression on both of those fools.

Happy to see your little friend is back Sharon and your shots, while you had a chance , are beautiful, what a neat bird...
I am pretty lucky that I don't see the human forms on my ridge... in fact I never see anyone... so I am more fortunate than lucky I suppose. However... when I go to other ridges with hiking trails, I run into many people that are quite courteous when I am taking bird photos, they stop and watch and ask a lot of questions... What you experienced, is a good example of no consideration at all... "ignorance is bliss" .... I have a good friend that calls people with manners like this "Turlocks".... I don't know what the heck it means... but other than profanity... it sounds appropriate doesn't it?.... Hang in there Sharon.

Thank you db...I was glad he made an appearance also. Most of the idiots that show up at the marsh, with their cast nets in tow, wouldn't know courteous if it jumped up and slapped them in the face. The conservation dept is in charge of this marshy area, I even called them a while back and asked it people were supposed to be throwing cast nets there. They said "yes they could, as long as they weren't tearing things up"......makes no sense to me to have a sign up that says "environmentally sensative area"...when people stomp all around in the ponds and throw cast nets as fast and as hard as they can in every direction.

Excellent shots Sharon, except maybe the last one of the two drongos. I really abhor people like this, 'manners maketh man' and cost nothing.

Thank you Ray......I'm planning on going back down there tomorrow afternoon, maybe these two bozo's will stop at the bait shop and get their bait instead of showing up at the marsh with their cast net.
