Default Lets See Your Telephoto Landscapes

Lets say anything over 85? Looking for some inspiration and examples of a less used perspective for landscapes!

I like this one too, especially the left rock face somewhat framing in the whole left side,

That rock face is known as El-Capitan and the scenic is the Yosemite Valley. To give some idea of the size when standing near the base of El-Capitan climbers look like tiny black dots in the day time (bring binoculars) and little bright lights in the night time. Climbers literally sleep vertically or on horizontal bed shelves attached to the shear face of this formation.

Even though I have not been here yet, and I have seen this image of the park a lot, yours makes me feel like I am in a cabin looking out the window...beautiful!

Taken at 400mm. Not an action sports image and I certainly think of it as a landscape, although it could also be a still-life!

Shot in April this year when the Icelandic dust cloud turned the sky this amazing colour in the west at sunset.

Interesting thread!

Here are a pair shot at 135mm (crop sensor)

This one was cropped into a pano:

The range in the distance is about 60 miles away.

This one was cropped square, but less of a crop:

The ridgelines here range from maybe 3 miles to something over 50 miles away.

Some great pictures in this thread. Looks like the 70-200 f/4L is a great landscape lens! No surprise though.
