Default Stonehenge 2

Unfortunately, the circle is fenced off to visitors. On the other hand, it makes things far easier to photograph, since people are out of shot.

Like the shot very much, compostions very pleasing, tho it does appear a little soft to me.

Hello Mikey,

First off very nice shot IMO!

I was down at the circle this morning and took this panoramic from inside

Unfortunately you are only allowed in at dawn and dusk so it was a bit misty!

I see what you mean. Not sure if I am uploading properly. The photo looks OK when I check it in my image viewer.

You have to apply to english heritage through their website for special access (costs £12 per adult). They let groups of up to 26 in at a time, was lucky this morning only four of us.

http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.878

Lots of terms and conditions to read through when applying...

I had a similar problem when posting. I eventually figured it was because I was overworking jpegs and losing detail in the compression process. Stuck to tiffs since and save jpegs for web and that seems to have cured the problem.
