Default Good places in Arkansas

Hey All,

I'll be out in Bentonville, AR for thanksgiving weekend. This will be my first time going there. Any good places to shoot around here? I know there are a lot of state parks in Arkansas, but figured I would ask this group to see if any places that you guys loved and would be wanting to go back too.

Thanks for your time.

Pea Ridge National Battefield can be a nice place to visit. Its not too far. It has some canon, civil war era buildings, rail fences and some wildlife in the park. You are going to be there a bit late in the year as the leaves will likely be down for the most part by then.

I grew up nearby, it is a really beautiful part of the country. Lots of rolling hills and woodland. If you get back during the summer months for a long visit, make a trek over to Eureka Springs, and Beaver Lake.

Keep in mind that Arkansas is still in the south. It gets pretty warm and humid there in the middle of the summer. If I were planning a visit myself, I would probably aim either late spring, or late summer/fall. Eureka Springs is an old mountain springs resort town.
