Great shots everyone! My Mamiyas showed up yesterday and I am dying to give them a workout. Unfortunately the only camera shop in town is closed today and I need 120 film! As far as I know there aren't any companies on net that offer same day delivery... :)

Connor, you could probably find an 85L...

The view through the new toy...

Congratulations, Daniel,

You and Mehran are beginning a new adventure, for sure. Here is a photo taken with my Leica IIIa (the camera is 73 years old). It takes pretty good pictures, just a bit of trouble to do so after you have used digital technology. This was a scan from the 35mm slide.

Joe

Wow, Joe, rockin' it old school. The IIIa is a beautiful example of the era.

I just love the look of scanned slides.

That's a nice name for it. :) The shot is outstanding though.

Well hopefully my new (to me) 1d MK IIn will be here by friday! So I'll have a combination of 5d, 1d 2n, 16-35 2.8 MK I, 50 1.4, and 24-105 f4. Still trying to decide on one more lens to couple with this setup.

Hi, Geno,

First, glad to see you are feeling better these days!
No, the photo was taken sometime last May. I am the old one, 75 last September......!

Brett, it must have been quite an era, that's certain...Joe

Thanks Joe! Do you have a picture of the Leica? There is something "real" about film that I love.

I had one of those! I don't know if it was that exact model, but it sure looks the same. The way you entered characters was through an elaborate gesture system that needed to be memorized...I can still remember how to make those gestures. Fun times. It was revolutionary at the time.

I still use a Handera 330, which used Palm III technology. Haven't found anything since that offers the same functionality. The battery life is extraordinary compared with modern offerings. But it's getting pretty old and I will have to replace it in due course. Problem is, what with?
