Steve, no those were done by myself. I wanted to give myself and my previous graphic design skills a try first. I figure my father and uncle who were both graphic designers in their day would roll over in their graves if they didn't see me trying myself first.

I was shopping for places when I found marvel logos, because I was having creative block.
I really like the one you went with, its 100% better than the original one you posted, glad this one worked out for you! I like how you had them revise it, looks good.

I understand completely I took 4 years of graphic design in high school and have continued to learn and use those skills today but there really is a creative mental road block for trying to create your own logo I think. Unless you have your idea from right out of the gate then you might need some assistance.

Working out everything, and am almost ready to go to print with the cards. Below is the logo I'm running with (which is based on the tattoo on my shoulder), which will also be the "o" in "Yoder" for the business name. The website (through Zenfolio right now) also uses this for the watermark.

So I'm playing with a few different fonts trying to figure out what I like best...would like to know what your favorite one is?

I'm in the very early stages of designing mine, if I choose to use one of my own designs...I like to see what 3rd Party folks can do with my name as well...anyway here are a few of my first attempt mock ups...playing around with the different graphics and still haven't found one I love, the Font and Text design I'm more happy with for now anyway.

QUOTED IMAGE

The third one is my favorite.

more powerful in a solid background imo... the style conflicts with the logo style.

Here is another variant of my logo that I'm working on...added a gradient to it, not sure what I think about it, how about you all?

What program are you using to create it? I like the font.
