Default Marumi filters?

2filters is advertising these filters a lot. Are they any good or just more of the junk these camera stores like to sell you in a "kit"?

Supposedly, they scored fairly well in some obscure on-line test (IIRC, lenstip?). The B+W Kaeseman CPL scored the highest from a performance standpoint, but the Marumi gets a high mark from an economic standpoint, the best that I can tell. From pictures that I've seen in this forum that were taken with the Marumi, the filter does appear to be much cooler (imparts a blue cast). I wouldn't call it a 'junk' filter at all...just that it gets recommended due to its price point. Personally, I'd go with the B+W MRC polarizer (K or non-K version).

That's what I was planning to do, but just wanted to know if anyone has used these filters as the good ones are pricey. Thanks for the info.

I was given one at a show [52 mm ] Spent 200 and pick from box . Does produce a blue tint .
It's around somewhere .
I have to agree with the KSM's - I have at least 2 of each for lens [3 - 77's , 4 58's ] I don't want to spend time cleaning them . That I can do at home .

There was a good thread a few days back on the same subject, look back a few days and check it out. As for 2filter, they also sell the Hoya HD and Pro1D circular polarizers. I own both and they are wonderful. Perhaps compare them against the others.
