Hello All,
I have just purchased a 10D and am now outfitting with as assortment of lenses. I plan to do general photography in many areas but specifically in the area of nightime sports photography. More specifically I would like to cover highschool scoccer and football. My problem is that I don't know what type of lense would be best for covering the in-play action. I currently have the 16-35 f2.8L. I have considered getting a 70-200 f2.8L IS and also a 1.4x. This way I would have effectively a 105-300. Basically I have two questions. (1) I 300mm max enough zoom for doing the close-up action of the events I have described? (2) Will the 1.4x change my f setting to significantly affect my nighttime (lowlight) capabilities? Thanks to all for you input! Signed: A wanna be photography |

Might want to check out the 'biggy' camera forum for the EOS guys. They may have more info, although I'm sure some stop by here now and again.
