Canon DSLR Speed Challenge #155

Motor-sports

Motor-sports being one of my main loves in my life, is this weeks challenge, so anything that competes/runs with an engine, whether it's a plane, bike, car or even a hovercraft or anything else that you can think of, you choose......

This challenge begins when posted, and will end at midnight GMT on Sunday, 25th July 2010. Winner of this challenge will be announced shortly thereafter.

Standard Rules apply:
Photo Submissions:

1. Camera - Any Canon DSLR Camera
2. Time - any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size - Please visit Image Posting Rules.
4. Post-Processing - do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting - * ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.* Photo Name in the message subject line.* Camera model & lens used.* Notes -- post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
6. Commenting - No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner has been declared, comments can be made in this thread.
7. Have questions, PM me.
8. Have FUN!

One challenge every week, on the following schedule:

* New Topic - After winner is declared.
* Posting Starts - Right after topic is announced.
* Posting Ends - midnight GMT on Sunday, 25th July 2010
* Winner from this competition decides the theme of the next one (and judges it for a winner) after this competition is closed.

And the winner is Mike 53545, love the shot the clarity is superb, and it's one of the most difficult motorsports, I have found, to cover, WELL DONE Mike

2nd goes to Evo5ive a great panning shot of a classic MKII.... the clutter in the background and the crop near the boot which in my eyes is too close to the car stopped this being a winner

3rd goes to rgs- Great burn out but I would have liked to see quite a bit more tyre smoke....

I will comment on the rest of the photos tomorrow when I have a bit more time.....

Over to you Mike and well done to everyone that entered

Rob
