Default Rolando Gomez Glamour workshop

Has anyone gone to a Rolando Gomez glamour workshop recently? If so how was it? He has a workshop coming up in Oct in Vegas. I'll have to fly out to it so trying to find out a bit more of what to expect and determine if it's worth the cost.

Thanks.

I have looked through some of his books. He seems to know what he is doing... at least when he writes it down.

Yeah, I have one of his books. His most recent in fact. Nothing earth shattering from the book especially if you've been following the G&N forum. I'm just wondering if it's worth the time and money to have the chance to shoot professional models and possibly a Playmate or two.

i run a competing workshop... what i should be doing right now is just slamming Rolando, and slamming him hard... after all he's competition

but i can't...

quite a few guys that go to my workshops also go to his and they typically have nice things to say about him and his operation... he has been doing this for a long time, and his is probably the best known glam workshop in the states right now...

if you like workshops in general, you will probably like his...

I would love to find a local shootout to save on airfare. Another POTN member just told me about supershoots.com. Definitely sounds interesting. But the timing works better for me for Gomez's workshop.

PashaPhoto, would love to attend your workshop. NJ huh? Maybe next time around.

there's a lot of great workshops on the west coast, though i think most of them are in cali...

Kesler runs a great fashion lighting oriented workshop there, Drew and Carl put on kick ass group shoots etc... but again, it's all Cali...

but check mm events thread... there's gotta be a local workshop by you somewhere

Thanks, Pasha. I'll keep on eye on that list. Would love to shoot with Kesler too. Got him on FB and even hit him up on some equipment questions. If I do go to Gomez's workshop I'll report back here.

Moonjo,

Where in the Rockies do you live? I'm in Colorado and while I no longer teach workshops, I do run group shoots limited to my members here in Colorado.

Also if you're close, I have a major event called Meeting of the Masters (http://www.meetingofthemasters.com) That will have six to eight photographers:

Ivan Otis
T.H. Taylor
Stephan Eastwood
Angela Michelle Perez
Barry Smith
Danny does glamour

I had one event last year and I had David Hickey out, I might bring him back out again and have Rich Markese out as well.

Hope all is well!

Hey, Jay. Yeah, I do live in CO. Looking through your sites looks like you had a shoot this past weekend. How did that go? Typically during your Supershoots/Shootouts how many photographers do you limit the session to?

Definitely interested. Not sure about the masters thing just yet but interested in the other shoots for sure.

Thanks.

I don't do much of the CO supershoots anymore. Believe it or not, the PB models are just as flakey as the local model. The local models that I chose, are great and very reliable. I'm having a glamour nude shoot for club members this coming Sunday around 4. The info hasn't been updated on the site yet.
