28-70 Repair Facility

I snapped the lens off the mount of my pristine 28-70 2.8L. Canon doesn't service this lens anymore. I don't think its a major repair, just replacing a plastic connector and a bunch of screws. But a part or two will be required. Hoping this is one of the parts thats still the same on the 24-70.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with a repair facility that will repair older L lenses?

No first hand experience but friends of mine swear by Midstate Camera.

I've used them for other repairs, but not on this particular lens. I have the same one, and they did not seem perturbed by the lack of Canon support.
