so i have a 50d and a 10-24mm lens, i know when i switch to the 5d it wont work at the wide end, but my question is would it work if i zoom it in to 16 to 24 with out it vignetting?

The reason is that the lens projects an image that is not intended to fill a 35mm film format frame. Skip Douglas

The tokina would mount fine, and shoot with no issues, but it was a severe vignette until about 20mm. But even then, as state above, the corners we just awful, turning almost to mush on most images. I tinkered with it while I debated on a replacement for the FF, but never got anything worth keeping... Sean

Just to see if it would work I tried it on my 5DII. Works fine to about 18 or 19mm wide. Little or no image quality loss. Just some wide angle distortion. My 20mm prime is better corrected for that. I don't have the Tokina 11-16... but I'd expect it vignette a bit since the 12-24 starts to beyond 18 or 19mm. Alan Myers
