Also, I want to trade my D70s and D3100 bodies for a D7000. The 3100 is too basic (only one aperture/shutter wheel, no DC in, no remote trigger, no screw-type lens motor missing some video options, not intervalometer), and the 70s doesn't have video.

Now that I see a dedicated Nikon page, I may just be tempted to add a D3S to my gear list and liquidate a few Canon items!

Tested out the new 70-200vr2 with a D700. One word..........sharp!

Since you are looking for feedback to see if you can improve, I would say that the composition could have been better as it's hard to know what the subject is. Is it the tree or the bridge?

1. If it's the tree , then it doesn't look that great positioned at almost the center. Probably shallower depth of field would have worked better. Or you would have filled the frame with it.
2. If it is the bridge, then it could have covered at least 66% of the frame (horizontally) with it. And like what was mentioned the tree doesn't add much to the picture.
3. If it is the sky, then .... (lol, I guess, sky isn't the subject but it's probably taking too much space in the picture)
