Mother and 18 yo son poses

I've got a shoot coming up for a mother and 18 yo son. Her son is in the military and will be in town for a few days and she wanted to take some studio photos with him. I'm trying to think of a few good ways to pose them in studio. Any one have suggestions, links or examples? They will be wearing semi-formal attire and her son will be bringing his uniform as well.

I would say get them out in a park :P let her treat him so he was a little boy again ie push him on the swing might sound silly sorry

one shot I would get that mom will treasure, is her son kissing her on the cheek.

One of the son in uniform standing at attention with his mom kissing him on the cheek and the son having a slight smirk on his face would be cute

. Shows him as the grown man he has become but still having a soft spot for mom.

Maybe shoot her adjusting his uniform a bit, check his tie etc, so you get a good connection between them.

I love this idea. I think, in general, getting them to interact is a great idea. Sometimes, with adults, I will ask each of them separately (before shooting them, ideally - by email) to answer the following question with regards to one another: If you had only 3 words (separate words) to describe X - what would they be?

I often talk about these while shooting them - and there are always interesting reactions when these words are shared. Just a thought.
