Land in Hawaii is a premium and many of the homes are on zero lot which means there's about 10' between you and each of your neighbors. As a result, I need to bring a strobe because there's not enough ambient light.
When I photographed Tiare, she would blink every time the strobe fired and eventually would wake up after a few shots. This made the session much longer. With another session soon, I decided to go with a constant light kit. Does anyone use this or something similar? Any limitations for shooting newborns or infants? Preliminary testing looks to be very promising. I'm able to shoot at ISO 400, f/2, 1/200". Here's a quick shot from tonight. ![]() Kyllie - Day 63 by stu46, on Flickr |

Looks good Stu!
For infants and newborn i think it will work great as long you can get your shutter and iso at acceptable levels. |
