My favorite backyard bird and thankfully I have a few that hang around the yard. I have two pairs that are building nests in my nest boxes so hopefully I can watch them raise their young and see them fledge the nest again this year. It's funny watching them go into each others nest boxes and steal the nesting material out of them....a lot of bickering going on in the yard now.

Duane, so sad to say "Just". That is a beauty of a photograph of a wonderful little creature.

Thank you everyone for the comments. Maybe "just" wasn't the right word but these are the most common bird I have in my backyard and even though I have thousands of images of them I can't resist getting more.

So even the little birdies are trying to cut corners! Real funny. Of course now we're counting on shots of little ones later in the year... :)

A great shot, Duane.

No such thing as 'just' a Carolina Chickadee!
Beautifully shot.

(The 'tarheel' after 'desert' has the strongest place in my heart. :D)

Duane you're not leaving yourself much room for improvement here. That's a beauty.
