Default WVIL, A Glimpse At The Future Of Photography After Cameras Die.

This thing is sick. 31 mp FF sensor, phone, wireless, among other amazing features. Sorry if this has been posted and I don't know how to embed vimeo videos.

Definitely not for me, at least not to replace a DSLR. No VF, uncomfortable to hold, large lens defeats the purpose of having the ultra-thin body, too thin for a quick release plate, and I certainly wouldn't want to get a phone call during a long exposure. As replacement for P&S, maybe, but the large lens defeats that purpose... A replacement for MFT and the like? possible.

Thats basically an iphone/ipad merged with a sony NEX.

The concepts on that camera are amazing. I love how the removable lens can work wirelessly.
I also love the touch screen concept as well. I see great potential with the concepts of this camera and big changes coming to the camera industry.

28-100/2.0-3.8 covering 135? And it's the size of a normal prime? Funny stuff.

He's a troll. Before seeing that they had a working prototype, I was going to say that my brother, an industrial designer, made an amazing little point and shoot camera concept for one of his classes and that it was easy to make a concept anything. That camera is amazing, and it likely will be the wave of the future. I can't imagine how much each of those lenses costs, but I imagine that with such a high megapixel count, if they could manage to manufacture a fast zoom like the one they have mounted, and with further cropping allowing for a more "telephoto" option, they'd have a real powerhouse which would be good for most situations.

With that said, like the EVIL cameras, this won't replace SLRs because it'll surely lack the speed, easy and precise access to controls, and simple ergonomics. I would pay out the ass for it to be my walkaround though.
