Just shot off about 30 pictures with my new 5D Mark II and this thing is amazing.

I did notice that the shutter is a rather loud "clanking" sound, which sounds like it's normal (?)


Shoot indeliberately deliberate.

I would say its normal, bit of a drawback when taking photos during a quiet event, But, on the other hand, it does give a substantial feel to the camera.

The colors from this camera still amaze me. No color added...basically RAW, Darkened a little and sharpened. Plus taken at the wrong time of day...high noon sunny day.

I agree, the loud shutter only presents a problem during really quiet situations but at least people will know when the picture is taken! I wonder if the sound dies down a little as the camera gets broken in. Anyone?
