Default Re: Do you ever see a photographers work that is so good it makes you just...

I have seen here and other forums a lot of great photographs and I read as to what gear they used and their technique and I ask questions to see how they composite that particular shot and then go out and practice, practice, practice.....I fail a lot of the times but I usually get at least one or two shots from the 100s I tried and it makes me feel great that I managed to do it. I dont have the best equipment right now but I am learning and will invest when time is right. Yes, I feel like buying the exact same gear/equipment some of the pros use to get the IQ but you still need to have technique and a good eye.....I can have the best of the best but if I myself lack in taking great pictures then I shouldn't blame the equipment.

I currently have canon xsi with 24-70 and I can take some great photos with that combo and its hard to tell sometimes what body was used but I do belive in investing in great lens as they will last a very long time and I have started with 24-70.
