I asked this a little bit ago, and I dunno if no one has input or if it just got posted during a busy discussion period, but:

I thought of a question about something I experienced with this lens a bit ago. From any lens I've used before (such as my 100-400mm or a 300mm f/4), it will allow you to shoot through a chainlink fence or screen (with a little contrast loss), but when I tried shooting through a fence with the 600L, it does some really crazy things to the image. I was wondering if anyone else has had that experience with this lens.

Wow, those Kingfishers are really beautiful. I wish there were some where I live!
