Supermoto is the fastest growing form of motorcycle racing there is at the moment. For all of you who photograph motorcycle racing go take a look at this sport as it is fast moving and a whole lot of fun to photograph.

My brother does mini motard racing. Basically a bunch of grown men riding kids bikes! :D The biggest bikes are CR85s, and they race on go kart tracks.

Still a lot of fun to shoot though. I can't wait until the season starts again out here. Unfortunately that isn't until early May.

The image on the bottom is of Garrett Willis he is 14 years old and regularly beats all the old guys.At this time he is sponsored by American Honda,ARAI,Alpinestars,D&W Images and several other companie.I saw the potential in this kid when he was ten years old beating all the old guys. For every pro in this sport there are 5 or 6 young guns coming up that really fly, this is what makes the sport so interesting to photograph plus the fact that anywhere on the track is a good shot.

Really like the 2nd shot in the first post. We have a bunch of motards at our local private track. I have to say that I always have an enormous grin on my face when riding one, so much fun.

I can't believe those guys are putting their feet down in the first two shots. Maybe a habit from Motocross.

Most people ride the turns in supermoto foot out instead of knee out but it is a matter of preference. Many slide the back end which makes more sense to keep the foot out.

AMA has 250 and open class supermoto events. In Eurpore there is FIM S1 and S2 classes. It has been popular for a long time over in europe as opposed to in the US. I'm sure there are many other organizations that have supermoto races but these are the top levels.

Thanks for the great shots....it seems funny to see slicks on a motocross bike.
