I travel around a lot and have had many wonderful chance encounters with various photographers all over Alberta. I'm new to this forum (I've outgrown my previous forum of choice)and was hoping to maybe get to know a few more local (ish) photographers from a little closer to home.
I'm from Camrose Alberta, currently working in Rimbey. Anyone on this forum nearby? Let me in on some local sites? Just want to say hello? -Jason |

Well, I'm not from Alberta but I'm fairly close - I live an hour west of Grande Prairie in Dawson Creek, BC. I haven't found any fellow POTN members up in my area, but there are some folks in Edmonton and south so hopefully you'll get a response from someone closer than me.
And welcome to POTN!

Hi Tzetsin! I live in Airdrie and most of my pictures come from around here, north or west of Calgary.

How is the hobbiest community around there? My wife and i were in cochrane last week looking around. We're thinking of moving there in the spring. I'm going to be heading there this week too i think. I just saw way too much i wanted to shoot but couldn't because of time constraints lol

Greetings All:
Calgary NW - close to HWY 16 and the beauty of Banff! Just started shooting 2 years ago and became addicted to the hobby. There are few others from the area that have posted in the Bird forum. Perhaps a spring fling for us POTN folk? Cheers, Ron |

I work in Red Deer, but travels as far as Nordegg (W), Alix (E), Ponoka (N), and Olds (S). I'm originally from BC, so I'm still trying to find good places to shoot birds & wildlife.
Last fall I did the Forrestry Trunk Rd [HWY40] to check out Rams Falls.

Inglewood. Great place, I have family member near Sprucemeadows area called Silverado. There's a place nearby called Ann & Sandy Cross conservation area. I know it's crazy but I haven't been to Fish Creek either.
