What would it be?
Close ups: Stationary Shots: Racing / Moving Shots: Rig Shots: I know this topic has a lot of talk, but I was tying to get everything in one post and make a pie chart for all to see. (all of us noobs, I should say.)

what exactly are you shooting? EXACTLY.... Say cars and be prepared to be flamed, we can all figure out its cars from the question you asked.
Are you shooting drag racing, moto gp, motocross, autox, F1 (in which case you wouldnt be asking these questions) a close up shot for me would be a 400+mm, you see airplanes (and drivers in the case of racing) are usually far away so long lenses are needed for "close up" |

I would say, my inspiration in photography is Webb Bland.

Give me a kit lens & I can shoot all of those choices. Finding the angle & the light is more important IMO.

Understandable. Right now I have a 50mm f1.8 75-300mm EF f4-5.6 (picked it up for $99 used. No stability control though.) 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM should I stay with these lens for now or upgrade?
