Hmm..

I was following the recommendation from the Zach arias tutorial

http://www.zarias.com …next-post-this-afternoon/ (external link)

Specifically this picture

OK, I guess we had a disconnect there. I thought you were metering the reflected light using the reflected light metering mode. If you were using the incident light metering mode to meter the reflected light off the BG, then, yes, you are correct. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I thought this thread was about posting creative photographs that have been created with multiple lights, not a "how do I" type thread. For goodness sake we have people talking about having clients who are presumably paying good money who don't even know how to get a white background. Please can we just get back to the quality photos before this thread dies.
Off my high horse now
Steve

I don't see the harm in having a little technical discussion to go along with the posted images if someone asks for info on how the lighting was set up. After all, this is the "Equipment Talk" section. We just have to make sure we don't get carried away and have thing get out of hand or go off-topic.

If you just want to see pictures with no technical discussions, there are lots of sub forums for that in the "Photo Sharing" section. :)

OK, folks, let's get back on topic here. Discuss pictures and technique all you want but all others irrelevant discussions will be (and have been) deleted. We've already had a few rounds of those in other threads in this forum. There's no need to repeat them here. If you want, you can start a discussion regarding people's attitudes and the like in other forums in POTN like the lounge or the Forum Feedback section.

Thanks for your cooperation.
